Nach "intensiver" Forschung die praktikabelste Lösung bisher mit cdrdao
& vcdgear:

cdrdao read-cd --device 1,1,0 --datafile videocd.bin videocd.toc

vcdgear -mpg2mpg -track2 videocd.bin videocd.mpg
