Sorry. Vergessen zu sagen: in /etc/sysctl.conf steht

kern.fallback_elf_brand=3

Abgesehen davon waere dann der Kernel gar nicht erst gestartet, um die
Passwort-Installation zu machen. => der Kernel LAEUFT also. Und das
Frontend ebenso.

Daran kann es nicht liegen. Oder verstehe ich das Handbuch jetzt nicht
richtig:
