wegen der Vielzahl der Abhängigkeiten würde ich Dir empfehlen, das Problem
mit portupgrade zu lösen. Dieses Produkt wird sich darum kümmern, die
ganzen von Gnome benötigten Ports auch zu aktualisieren.

das habe ich versucht, bin aber auch daran gescheitert. Nach einem
pkgdb -F und einem portupgrade -r gnome2 bekomme ich

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4-stable/All/gnomemedia2-2
.0.2.5.tgz... Done.
pkg_add: warning: package 'gnomemedia2-2.0.2.5' requires 'sox-12.17.3_1', but
'sox-12.17.3' is installed
pkg_add: warning: package 'gnomemedia2-2.0.2.5' requires 'python-2.2.2', but
'python-2.2_1' is installed

'expat-1.95.4' is installed
pkg_add: warning: package 'gnomemedia2-2.0.2.5' requires 'png-1.2.5', but
'png-1.2.1' is installed

und so weiter. Dann erhalte ich

Please deinstall the GNOME 1.x desktop before installing this package.
libgtop was detected on the system. This package is part of the GNOME 1.x
desktop, and cannot coexist with the GNOME 2.0 desktop.

nautilus was detected on the system. This package is part of the GNOME 1.x
desktop, and cannot coexist with the GNOME 2.0 desktop.

Gnome 1 kann ich aber nicht deinstallieren. Weder in den Ports mittels make
deinstall
noch mittels pkg_delete.

Gibt es denn eine Möglichkeit alles was mit Gnome zusammenhängt loszuwerden und
sozusagen
noch mal bei Null anzufangen?
