Nein. Das normale Kernelcompilieren (unabhängig von einem
»make world«) macht man immer noch genauso wie Stefan es
beschrieben hat, und wie man es seit ~ 15 Jahren macht.
;-)

Dazu müssen natürlich Kernel und Userland »in sync« sein,
was ja der Fall ist, wenn man »einfach nur einen neuen
Kernel compilieren« möchte.

Sind sie es nicht, muß man Userland _und_ Kernel zusammen
neubauen, wie in /usr/src/UPGRADING beschrieben.
