Hast du es denn auch eingeschaltet?
Einfach in /etc/rc.conf die dumpdev Variable auf deine Swappartition
setzen:
[60]cicely5> swapinfo
Device 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Type
/dev/da6b 1677592 697744 979848 42% Interleaved
[61]cicely5> grep dumpdev /etc/rc.conf
dumpdev="/dev/da6b" # Device name to crashdump to (or NO).

Die Partition muss etwas größer als der Hauptspeicher sein.
