jupp... genau das ist auch der Fall... aus dem Archiv von XFree86:

"It is not working because 8500 does not initialize overlay linear
transform registers"

das ati-modul aus 4.2.0 scheint noch nicht ganz ausgereift. xvinfo gibt
aber troztdem korrekte Daten aus. Ich habe dann das Modul ati.2 von
Gatos ( http://gatos.sf.net/ ) probiert. Damit funktioniert dann auch
xv. TV-Out habe ich aber noch nicht ausprobiert...
