Releases sind bestimmte (Zeit-) Punkte auf der Zeitachse
des Stable-Branches. Das ist alles. Im Grunde genommen
sind es Snapshots, die ein wenig gründlicher getestet
sind als andere (es gibt vorher einen Code-freeze und
mehrere sog. Release-candidates zum öfffentlichen Testen).

Wenn man »4.2-Stable« sagt (man sollte diese Sprechweise
vermeiden), meint man eigentlich 4-stable irgendwo zwischen
4.2-Release und 4.3-Release.

Da der 4-stable Branch ab 4.3-Release eben nicht mehr
4.2-Stable, sondern 4.3-Stable genannt wird, ist da der
Bug also nicht mehr drin.

Ein Update auf 4.5 ist trotzdem empfehlenswert (IMO),
da sich inzwischen doch einiges mehr getan hat.
