Bei "HP" hast Du jetzt den richtigen Trigger ausgelöst ("...da war doch
noch was...").

Aus /sys/i386/conf/LINT:

Du verwendest aber den generischen Kernel. Du möchtest Dir also einen
custom kernel bauen und auf der Bootdiskette ersetzen. Dann klappt's auch
mit dem Nachbarn (ich habe knapp drei Jahre lang mit einem HP NetServer LC
zu tun gehabt, der wunderbar unter FreeBSD 2/3 lief, aber für den galt auch
das oben geschriebene).
