Du kannst auf F1 drücken. Da kannst Du dann folgendes le-
sen:

Das entscheidende ist »during the installation«. Wenn Du
die deutsche Lehmanns-Edition von CD startest, bekommst Du
das sogar auf Deutsch erklärt.

(Wie sagte noch jener Consultant am Telephon: »Ich kann's
Ihnen gerne vorlesen, aber verstehen müssen Sie's schon
selber ...«)

Ja, und genau das hat nichts mit Umlauten zu tun, sondern
ist eine allgemeine Frage (wie und wo setze ich Environ-
ment-Variablen?). Die ich im übrigen schon beantwortet
habe: Je nach Shell in Deinen Startup-Skripten (lies die
manpage Deiner Shell für Details), oder global in
/etc/login.conf (auch dafür existiert eine manpage).
