Du kannst procmail so programmieren, daß die letzten n mails
im archiv landen.

Dann gibt es noch ein ganz nettes spambouncer Paket für procmail

Anbei mein .procmailrc für ein paar sinnvolle Beispiele:

Ach ja, und man sollte procmail dann systemweit als rmail einführen.

Das kann man in einer sendmail mc config Datei machen ...
