SCSI-Bus neu scannen

Hallo,

wie kann ich dem SCSI-Controller sagen, er soll den SCSI-Bus neu scannen
?
laut man scsi soll das mit scsi -f /dev/ssc -p gehen, aber bei mir gibt
es kein /dev/ssc.

Im LINT ist es drin, aber mit dem Kommentar
# These are only for watching for bitrot in old SCSI code.

Kann/soll/muss ich es trotzdem eincompilieren ?
(HW: 2940U, einziges Device ist ein ZIP-drive)
