Wofür genau ist das ???

Gibts dazu ne manpage bzw. ein FAQ ?

Als root: /usr/sbin/eeprom input-device=ttya
(bzw. analog am OpenBoot-Prompt.)
Siehe eeprom(1M), da gibt's noch einige andere Einstel-
lungen, z.B. Baudrate usw., Default ist natürlich 9.6/8N1.

Übrigens sollte ttya automatisch als Console genommen wer-
den, wenn er beim Einschalten keine Tastatur findet.

Du kriegst auf der Console automatisch 'nen Login-Prompt,
wenn mich nicht alles täuscht, ganz egal, welches Device
die Console ist.
