$ env TZ=Europe/Berlin date

$ env TZ=Europe/Germany date
Mi 29 Okt 1997 22:17:37 GMT
$ env TZ=Europe/fiehjrfehgiuhgwr date
Mi 29 Okt 1997 22:17:48 GMT
seems that invalid zoneinfo setting automatically falls back to GMT.
